Choice A: Orange vs. Blue (Blenkin)
Who loves youth group games? I do! We will play a different game in the gym (maybe even outside once or twice) each week. Some examples: sticks, walk the plank, last man standing, relays, dodgeball, knots, nerf tag, etc. Each week we will start by randomly separating into two teams – team ORANGE and team BLUE. We will keep track of the weekly scores each color has, and see which color has a higher score at the end of the semester to determine whether BLUE or ORANGE is the ultimate color. Also each week we will have a 3 minute Bible moment.
Student Supplies: Athletic shoes and water bottle
Choice B: Christ-Centered Yoga (Newman)
Students will be introduced to a Vinyasa style of yoga which is connecting movement with breath. Throughout each class I will pair the yoga flow with a Biblical devotional covering topics like Identity in Christ, Waiting Upon the Lord, and Spiritual Formation. This class is open to both male and female students of all athletic ability.
Student Supplies: A yoga mat, 2 blocks (available at Decathalon), comfortable clothes that don’t restrict movement, and a tea cup (if you would like to have tea during class)
